Large breakfast and outstanding food selection. Great bed and good-sized, practical room with storage and good Internet. Magnificent and comfortable location in an excellent area, a short walk to various sights, parks, and restaurants. Also just a 3-block walk to reach the malecon on the river, the city center, and California.

Prices in the restaurant very high. Some of the rooms are getting old, but are gradually being renovated.

Great staff in the hotel and the restaurant. They provide an early check in (7:00) and a late check out (15:00).
The internet service was very slow, so not sure how it would be as a business center.

The Hotel Continental in Guayaquil was a great choice for our stay. the staff were incredibly friendly and the hotel was clean and ideal. The room we were fiest given was terrible overlooking the roof,did get another room after complaining. Also requested a transfer back to airport, when we got to the airport had to pay driver, the hotel advertises free transfer, felt all this is through booking on another site, other than the Hotels actual site?

As a student coming to Ecuador for 6 months, I decided to spent my first night at this hotel. I had arranged in advance to be picked up at the airport and the staff were waiting for me although my plane was 2 hours late. The staff was very kind and especially helpful with some things I needed to organize before continuing my trip to my final destination.
